Carolyn has been a dedicated REALTOR® for over 36 years, earning her FRI (Fellow of the Real Estate Institute) designation early in her career which is acknowledged by the real estate community as a standard of excellence and accomplishment.

With a true Passion for Real Estate and having sold thousands of properties, Carolyn’s commitment to her clients is sincere and honest. With her vast expertise and negotiating skills, she is known for building long lasting relationships with her clients while she navigates transactions successfully. Carolyn truly believes Halifax and all of Nova Scotia is a wonderful place to live with so many beautiful places to experience. She loves to road trip with her dear husband to visit unexplored territory and family throughout the province, to host evenings of music and dining for friends in her downtown Halifax home and a few rounds of golf when she can with family and friends. Her pride and joy, daughter Kim Stewart, now follows in her footsteps and has partnered with Carolyn forming a fantastic Mother/Daughter duo Real Estate Dream Team. Seems to have come so naturally!

Mia Rankin is an accomplished business professional who employs decades of experience as an investment banker-turned-entrepreneur. Her resourcefulness and collaborative energy help guide clients as they achieve their real estate goals. With an eye for design and having personally bought, sold and built new construction and restored heritage homes in both urban and rural settings, Mia is keenly aware of property buyers’ and sellers’ needs and priorities.

Mia grew up in New York but spent every summer of her life on Cape Breton Island. She attended The Wharton Business School and The University of Pennsylvania and graduated with honours as Salutatorian with her MBA from Dalhousie University. A former Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley, Mia moved to Halifax when she married singer-songwriter, Jimmy Rankin. Mia has managed Jimmy’s award-winning music career and their record label and publishing company for close to thirty years. Winner of the Goldberg-Schulich Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Mia adds depth and valuable marketing, communication, social media, negotiation, finance and asset valuation skills to the Carolyn Davis Stewart Group. She has also served on the Board of Directors of The Nova Scotia Heritage Trust.
